A hiker on the Manitou Incline died Sunday morning from what appears to be a heart attack, according to rescue crews.Skee Hipszky, a mission leader for El Paso County Search and Rescue said that the team was called about 8:50 a.m. to help a man who reportedly was having seizures and convulsing. The rescue team drove a vehicle up a 4-wheel drive road to the top of the trail and hiked about 400 feet down where other hikers had been giving the man CPR. Rescuers reached the man about 9:40 a.m. but unfortunately he had died by the time they had arrived. His identity was not released Sunday. "Unfortunately, when you get into a wilderness site like that, you just can't get a medical crew to you as fast as you could if you were in town," Hipszky said. The Manitou Incline, which has a vertical gain of about 2,000 feet is one of the toughest trails in the area.

10 MILES DOWN! / 16 KM A LA BUTXACA!
This race today was definitely a different way of running for me. It was almost no flat terrain. It mostly consisted on going up, and then down, then up again...It was fun, hard, and challenging at times. "Marathon reality" hit me between mile 6 and 7, when my legs were not fresh anymore; Marathon thoughts, and I said to myself: "Hmm....Marisa, in a marathon race, right now you would have done only 1/4 of the total distance. Am I going to be able to finish a Marathon???...I need to train harder or I'll die!!!"
