I am very pleased, happy, and elated with my personal accomplishment: I finished my first 1/2 Marathon! I still cannot believe I was able to finish it, and with a pretty good pace for myself. Two hours is much better time than I anticipated. It really was not as hard as I thought. This morning I was pretty scared about it.
When I crossed the finish line, a big and wide smile came to my face, and I couldn't help to raise my arms to the air, as a sign of personal victory. Although, at the same time, I imagine myself, just for a split second, running a Marathon, it would be doing double of today's distance....no way!!! I realize a half Marathon should not be called "Half Marathon". A Marathon is a major word, and I can just imagine it is probably not comparable with doing a half one. I think it should be only called a 21 km race (13.1 mile).
